"I believe that Aundré really gets what Claremont is. He values the citizen processes that have gotten us here so far, especially ones that are transparent and citizen led. Developer, State, or staff driven development is not making Claremont a community we cherish. Council members can and should have a vision for our future, and their leadership should encourage active conversations. Consensus building has been our most successful means of decision making in this town. We owe it to ourselves and our future to get back to these basic values."

"I have been concerned about an apparent lack of transparency happening at City Hall, a big change from what I perceive as 'the Claremont way'. Public forums, study groups, committees to get wide community input. The Larkin Place surprise was so disappointing. I said “that can’t be true, the City wouldn’t let that happen” but then found out it was indeed true! Aundré is committed to transparency, our Claremont Police Department and looking at what is best for the town we love."

"Over these past weeks, we have had the opportunity to observe and evaluate the perspectives and agendas of the various candidates in the upcoming City Council Elections. Aundré's honest, pragmatic, and hopeful insight into our community's problems and challenges, and his willingness to include everyone's voice in important decisions is what Claremont needs. His love for Claremont and his deep appreciation of the community, will guide him in providing leadership to preserve and improve our city."

"As a family with 4 young children we value Aundré's commitment to keeping our children safe in our community. Our top priority is keeping Claremont a safe place to live and we will always advocate for those who maintain that for our family and community."
Sam Pedroza
Former Claremont Mayor
"I support Aundré because he talks about keeping Claremont as the place that values a process for developments in our city. What is happening right now is that we’re selling off developments to the highest bidder to build whatever they want, and by-right. What has always made Claremont such a unique place is that we do have a process to get projects approved. Yes it takes longer and yes developers don’t like it, but we build projects that define our community for a long period of time. It does not mean no growth because growth is inevitable but it does mean that growth happens in a way and through a process that defines who we are as a community. I support that process and I support Aundré."

"I live in District 4 and have noticed a huge uptick in crime. I worry about kids walking to school safely and about keeping criminals out of my yard and home. We need leaders who aren’t afraid to address these problems! Aundré is a straight-talker and will work to bring back safety for our families."

"I had the privilege of sitting on a committee with Aundré several years ago and got to know him pretty well. Aundré is a solid and calm person with a clear vision about Claremont and the challenges we currently face. He has supporters across all the districts and both sides of the political spectrum which is a challenging thing to do in Claremont. He has my support."

"Our police department lost 45% of its sworn police officers over the past two years. We need city leadership that does not empower the defund-the-police movement in Claremont, and does not drive our police officers to other cities and into retirement. With too much forced overtime, traffic enforcement was stopped, and now we have excessive speeding. We have also seen a dramatic increase in human trafficking and prostitution near the I-10 freeway, which is an embarrassment to the entire city. Please support Aundré Johnson, who will appreciate the men and women in our police department and will support community policing."
Anita Hughes
District 4 Resident
"I have lived and worked in Claremont for over 50 years. It has been a great town to raise a family. Our elected representatives have done a pretty good job in making the visions developed by citizens in the community become a reality. Lately, though, it seems to me that we are being told what we need by staff, state bureaucrats and developers. This is not good. A change is needed. I believe that AUNDRE' JOHNSON understands the role of what I envision my City Council District 4 representative should be."
Nona Tirre Miranda
District 4 Resident
"I'm supporting Aundré Johnson because he has no aspirations to be a professional politician and he won't use Claremont as a stepping stone for higher office. I have faith that Aundré will make sound decisions that will make the safety and wellbeing of our children and other vulnerable populations a priority. Aundré also doesn't have outside influences that impact his decisions, such as voting for projects that will put our community at risk. The majority of his opponent's contributions are from outside of Claremont -- as far away as Washington, DC. That's a red flag for me. I want my council representative to be community minded, not regional and state focused as he moves up the ladder. My vote is with Aundré Johnson."
